Amaranth is one of mankind's oldest crops, but is now also referred to as the crop of the 21st century. It is characterized by particularly high nutritional values and a beneficial effect on the human body. The light brown seeds, slightly larger than poppies, are the most commonly used part of this plant. Organic amaranth, a raw material from India, is a foodstuff from organic farming, certified by BIO. Perfect in a vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diet. Amaranth is a unique source of many vitamins and amino acids. Its high protein and fiber properties help meet human needs for calcium and iron. Added to this is the high content of squalene, which can help to slow down the aging processes of the cells. At the same time, it is recommended as a supplement to a diet that reduces the level of harmful cholesterol. The raw material amaranth is a perfect addition to morning porridge, salad or dessert. It is also perfect for baking bread and as a coating for chops.
Boil the previously rinsed amaranth grains on a fine sieve in a 1:2 ratio (1 portion amaranth to 2 portions water) for about 20 minutes.
