Honey goldenrod is formed from pollen from goldenrod flowers. This plant is also called mimosa. It is characterized by yellow flowers and can be found throughout Poland. It blooms around the turn of August-September and also happens with the first frost. Goldenrod honey is a source of quercetin, vitamins, organic acids and tannins. It has antibacterial properties and can strengthen the body, therefore it is recommended for prophylactic USE and in periods of reduced immunity. It supports the proper functioning of the kidneys and urinary system. Quercetin and routine strengthen blood vessels and have a positive effect on blood circulation.
The antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect can also be used externally as part of care cosmetics. For example, a honey mask applied to the skin can nourish it and soothe irritation. Honey in cosmetology is also used in hair conditioners, scrubs and baths.
