The product is a high-quality vitamin D3 that is naturally derived from lanolin (sheep's wool). Vitamin D is a substance that comes in several forms. We differentiate between vitamin D1 (calciferol), D2 (ergocalciferol) and vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol). Vitamin D3 contained in the product is present in the skin tissues of humans and animals (it is synthesized in the skin under the influence of sunlight). The metabolic effects of the different forms of vitamin D are similar except that they differ in the type of protein present in the plasma. As a result, vitamin D3 lasts longer and is more effective than other forms.
