Honey or flower nectar collected and processed by bees is one of the healthiest foods that nature has given us. This amber, cream or dark brown product, loved by everyone, can boast of containing, among others, energy-boosting carbohydrates, heart-supporting acetylcholine, vitamins - A, B, C - and minerals - potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, cobalt, manganese, molybdenum and iron. Honey has properties that can speed up wound healing, lower blood pressure, calm nerves, help the body fight colds, and soothe a sore throat.
Phacelia honey is made from Phacelia tanacetifolia Benth - an annual seed plant native to California. but also grown in other regions of the world, including Poland. Phacelia belongs to the borage family. It is characterized by a strong fragrance. It has an unusual light cream color, sometimes even white. Its consistency, similar to that of a product made from linden nectar, is greasy. Although the phacelia flower gives off a strong odor, the honey itself is not a strong scent.
