The product has powerful antioxidant properties. When added to green-colored water, vitamin C changes its properties due to the high iron content. This allows it to return a white or even transparent color to the water. This effect becomes noticeable very quickly. It also removes brown and yellow stains on the pool liner. Ascorbic acid also lowers the pH of pool water. However, one should keep in mind that vitamin C does not remove iron from the water, it only reverses the process of water coloring. The same applies to algae, it does not affect their quantity.
