DGL, or Deglycirinized Licorice, is a form of licorice root that has been specially processed to remove glycyrrhizin.

DESCRIPTION :

DGL is a special licorice root extract without glycyrrhizin (deglycyrrhizinated). Excessive concentrations of glycirizine can cause cardiac arrhythmias. The deglicyrized form provides all the beneficial active ingredients found in licorice root.

Licorice root has a large amount of flavonoids.

Licorice root is helpful in diseases of the digestive system. It has an antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory effect on the mucous membranes of the gastrointestinal tract and accelerates the healing of gastrointestinal ulcers. Licorice root also has an expectorant effect.
