Miechunka (Physalis L.) , also called Peruvian cherry or Brazilian raisin, is an annual plant naturally found in the tropics or a perennial plant of the nightshade family. Originally from South America, it is now cultivated all over the world, including in Poland.
The dome's fruit resembles tiny tomatoes or cherries wrapped in a delicate, golden cocoon of thin tissue paper. They come in yellow, orange, and green colors and taste bittersweet and sour. Resembling microscopic lanterns, these small fetuses of an exotic plant boast of vitamins - A, group B and C - and minerals - phosphorus, calcium and iron.
Mushroom is an excellent addition to both sweet and savory dishes. On its basis you can prepare unique, exotic sauces, plum jam and jams. The apple fruit can also be used raw or pure as a snack.
