Brussels sprouts, commonly known as Brussels sprouts, is a biennial plant in the cabbage family and is a botanical variety of cabbage. Resembling a miniature cabbage, this vegetable is likely a cross between a kale and a head cabbage. Brussels sprouts originated in Belgium but have been grown in many parts of Europe since the 17th century.
