Agar-agar is a gelling agent, the main component of which is a sugar that is difficult for humans to digest - galactose. Agar-agar is made from Rhodophyta, which is mainly mined off the coast of Japan. It is used as a natural, tasteless gelling agent in the manufacture of confectionery such as marshmallows, jellies, jams and other industrial food products. In the composition of food it appears under the number E406. It is also used as a thickener and stabilizer. Agar-agar is an excellent alternative to animal gelatin.

APPLICATION
To get a fibrous texture, soak the agar in warm water for 30 minutes. For a jelly-like texture, soak the product in warm water for 2-3 hours.
To use as a gelling agent, place the agar in boiling water for 4 minutes and mix to aid in dissolution. Cool after dissolving the substance.
Agar-agar changes texture at room temperature.
RECOMMENDED STORAGE CONDITIONS
Store in a dry place. After opening, keep in a tightly closed container in a dry place.
