Oregano is the common name for a small plant called arugula. It is owned by the Lyme family. It grows wild in North America, Asia and Europe, including Poland. Sometimes it is also called wild marjoram.
Oregano oil is derived from dried or fresh herbs that are harvested during the plant's flowering period. It is used as a dietary supplement in liquid or capsule form. Pure oregano oil has a characteristic, slightly spicy taste. Therefore, to reduce the unpleasant aftertaste, it is often mixed with more neutral oils such as olive oil or sunflower oil.
