DESCRIPTION
Oak flour used to be used as a foodstuff, especially during times when access to food was limited.
Modern research has confirmed its very high nutritional value and content of valuable nutrients for health.
Compared to grain flour, it is many times richer in potassium, calcium and magnesium, which are important minerals for health.
This flour is very rich in B vitamins and contains many valuable dietary fibers for the functioning of the digestive tract and over 5% unsaturated fatty acids.
PREPARATION
Acorn flour can be used as a refining addition to corn flour in a ratio of 2/3 corn flour and 1/3 acorn flour and can be used to bake bread, rolls, cookies and other products.
It can also be used in all dishes where cereal flour is normally added, eg as an addition to pasta, omelettes, potato pancakes (add 1/3 acorn flour to 2/3 grated potatoes).
