Bilberry (Vaccinium L.) is a plant of the heather family, according to some studies it includes up to 450 species. Some of them are grown both as raw food and for making canned fruit. In Poland, only the same type of blueberry is grown as its cousin, namely the high bush blueberry (Vaccinium corymbosum).
Balanced in color between pomegranate and purple, this delicious fruit is a real vitamin bomb. Highbush Blueberry is characterized by a high content of nutrients such as: vitamin A, vitamin B, vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin PP, calcium, selenium, potassium, copper, iron and magnesium.
Fresh blueberries taste best and contain the most vitamins when eaten raw.
