Common hazel (Corylus avellana)
Shrub species of the birch family. The species occurs wild throughout Europe, Asia Minor and the Caucasus. In Poland, it is common throughout the country. A shrub with smooth, gray bark, reaching a height of up to 5 meters and forming a branched crown. The fruit of the bush are brown nuts surrounded by a hard shell. They are colloquially called hazelnuts, from which I get an oil with a slightly nutty smell.
