DESCRIPTION
Daikon is a white Japanese radish. Sengiri is a Japanese term for "cut into strips". Sengiri Daikon is dried in the sun. This drying only takes place when the wind is cold, so that the originally sweet, soft taste is retained. Daeng Sengiri is excellent for use in sushi, miso soups or salads.
PREPARATION
soak briefly for about 10 minutes Fry the drained pieces in oil, after soaking, add the remaining water and cook for about 10 minutes. Season to taste with shoyu sauce, rice vinegar, mirin and ginger (optional). Combine with other root vegetables.
