Arborio rice is native to Italy, where it has been selected from other varieties imported from China. Its name comes from the small town of Arborio where it was originally grown.
Arborio rice is white with small, rounded grains and is slightly transparent. Thanks to this, it perfectly absorbs the taste of every dish. Thanks to these properties, it is able to perfectly absorb the liquids added during the PREPARATION of the risotto.
Arborio rice provides large amounts of complex carbohydrates, which are the basic source of energy for our body. It is also an excellent source of many minerals, including potassium, magnesium, iron and zinc, as well as vitamins, particularly those from the B group and vitamin E. It also provides significant amounts of fiber.
