Black cumin is native to Southeast Europe and Western Asia. The seeds of this plant were valued by the ancient Egyptians and now laboratory tests confirm its beneficial properties.
Czarnuszka has a spicy, slightly bitter and tangy flavor that adds character to cheese dishes, flatbreads and patties. Whole or ground grains can be used as a topping for bread, as an ingredient in spreads or as a topping for sandwiches, in meat dishes, cheese, soups and salads. It goes well with thyme, coriander, paprika, cumin and allspice.
