Tofu, otherwise doufu or dofu , is a type of curd made by curdling soybean milk. These white or light cream nutrient cubes are characterized by a neutral taste that goes well with both savory and sweet dishes and a subtle, barely perceptible fresh aroma.
Tofu in brine is not only a source of complete protein, but also an essential building block for teeth and calcium bones. Soy curd also contains iron, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, lecithin and vitamins A, B, C, D and E.
Tofu is a great addition to salads, pasta, and tortillas. You can also make a delicious sandwich paste or eat it with spices à la scrambled eggs.
