DESCRIPTION
The salt flower is the most valuable salt product. It accumulates in the form of efflorescence of salt crystals on the surface of sea water (in evaporation ponds) under the influence of the natural energy of the sun and wind. The flowers are collected daily by hand with rakes and air dried. Our Salt Flower is made from the pollution-free open waters of the Atlantic in the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve in the Algarve. A completely natural product, unrefined, that has been extracted here for centuries.
