Activated carbon is obtained by processing cellulose at 900 °C. In the next step, it is activated with steam or acids. Such a method aims to increase the absorption area. As a result, activated carbon is characterized by a strong absorption property for other substances. These include bacteria. Activated carbon is very widely used in cosmetology, especially for the product of masks and as an additive to gels for washing the face and body. Increasingly, it is also a component of whitening toothpastes. This type of products is recommended for problematic and oily skin. It is also used in air filters and in the separation of gases and their purification. It is a pure form of activated charcoal. No additives, no fillers or release agents.
