DESCRIPTION
Seitan, also known as "Chinese meat," is a high-protein vegan product made from wheat gluten. It is mainly used as a meat substitute.

PREPARATION
1) Pour a glass of water into the bowl (about 125ml) and pour out all the seitan powder from the bag. Stir (preferably with a fork) until there are no lumps, until the dough has absorbed all the water.
2) Boil 1.5 liters of water in a medium-sized saucepan, add a pinch of salt and 3-4 tablespoons of soy sauce. The finished dough is divided and cut into roughly walnut-sized pieces, each piece gently flattened with your hand.
3) Place in boiling water and cook covered over low heat for about 30 minutes.
RETENTION RECOMMENDATION
Store dry and protected from light.
