Milk thistle is a species of plant in the Asteraceae family. It comes from the Mediterranean region: Southern and Southeastern Europe, North Africa, Western Asia and some regions of Central Asia (India, Pakistan). As an introduced species, it has spread to many parts of the world. Today it grows in the wild in addition to its original range in other parts of Africa and Europe, Australia, New Zealand, North and South America.
APPLICATIONS :
Culinary - healthy salads can be prepared from the lower leaves of the plant
Cosmetics - Milk thistle seed oil has a similar APPLICATION to evening primrose and borage oil.
