Common apricot, also known as common apricot, is a perennial species of flowering plant in the rose family. They come from Asia, but now also from Kyrgyzstan, China and Korea. Apricot kernels come from the wild variety of apricot trees. These kernels have a very strong, characteristic taste. It is related to the content of amygdalin in them. They also contain magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, iron and zinc. They also contain B vitamins and salicylic acid.
