Real peanut butter is made from 100% nuts. The most common is peanut paste, but hazelnut and almond products are also growing in popularity. The idea for peanut butter was born in the USA, where this snack is an important part of the daily diet. Statistics show that the average citizen of this country eats up to 1.5 kg of peanuts a year!
The original peanut butter recipe is very simple. It consists of thoroughly grinding roasted peanuts. In SMOOTH ViVio Peanut Butter, the peanuts are fully blended into a smooth paste, but you can also find products with small chunks of peanuts. Interestingly, from a biological perspective, peanuts are not nuts at all. They are a vegetable obtained from a plant belonging to the Fabaceae family. Of course, it was found in South America, but now its wild plantations are gone. For industrial purposes, it is grown in tropical and subtropical countries.
