Hyaluronic acid is an endogenous substance in the form of sodium hyaluronate. More than half of the total amount of hyaluronan is in the skin and in the intercellular space, which is directly responsible for the proper hydration of the skin, its elasticity and suppleness. With age, its amount in the dermis layer decreases, resulting in a loss of skin firmness and elasticity. Therefore, the direct application of hyaluronic acid and sodium to the skin compensates for its deficiencies and has a moisturizing, smoothing and anti-wrinkle effect, as well as stimulating the cells for intensive regeneration.
