Radish is an annual or biennial plant of the cabbage family. It is distributed almost all over the world and comes from the Mediterranean region.
White radish is a lesser-known cousin of the radish popular in Poland, which is often confused with parsley. It is characterized by a higher concentration of essential oils than its intensely pink rounded cousin, due to which the pungent taste and aroma characteristic of vegetables of this group is clearly noticeable in this case. Radish is an excellent source of vitamins and antioxidants. It can also have high mineral content: calcium, selenium, potassium, magnesium, manganese, copper, zinc, phosphorus and iron.
White radish is an excellent addition to sandwiches, salads and salads. You can also use it to prepare a delicious cream soup.
