Kutia is a traditional dish of Ukrainian, Belarusian, Russian, Lithuanian and former Polish border cuisine. It is one of the 12 dishes commonly included in East Slavic Christmas dinner. It is made from wheat, poppy seeds, honey and dried fruits, it may also contain milk, cream, malt, candied fruit peel and almonds.
Spelled is a grain of wheat. Popular in the Middle Ages, later forgotten, it is now enjoying great popularity again due to its numerous nutritional values, which are the highest compared to other grains. 100 g of spelled cover 30% of the daily fiber requirement and 21% of protein. In addition, spelled is rich in vitamins - A, from groups B, E and K - and minerals - magnesium, manganese, copper, potassium, selenium, calcium and iron.
