Arugula is an annual plant of the cabbage family. It occurs wild in western Asia, the Black Sea and the Mediterranean, among other places. It spreads easily, it is rarely grown.
Eaten as a vegetable or treated as a spice, arugula is a plant with an unusual, distinct, slightly spicy flavor and is an excellent source of vitamins, minerals, and amino acids. Sarocket can be proud of, among other things, high content of lutein and zeaxanthin, it is also a rich source of beta-carotene, iron, calcium, potassium and vitamins: B, A, C and K.
Arugula is an excellent addition to pizza, salads, soups or sandwiches. It goes well with cheese, especially blue cheese, feta cheese, yellow cheese and mozzarella.
