An aromatic (essential) oil diffuser works by atomizing water - just add a few drops of essential oil (maximum 5-6 drops) to the water tank.

When the ultrasonic diffuser is turned on, the water molecules begin to vibrate at a specific frequency. This heats the water and creates fine-beaded steam. The essential oil is also heated, and as the vapor rises, the ultrasound breaks the bubbles, creating an incredibly fine aromatic vapor.
