DESCRIPTION
Chelation occurs naturally in the body during digestion to help transport minerals across the intestinal wall for use by the body. Unfortunately, there are many factors in the digestive tract that interfere with the natural chelation process, rendering it ineffective. Magnesium is responsible for over 300 enzymes in our body, is involved in chemical reactions and the largest amount is found in bones and muscles. Magnesium is involved in transport metabolism and protein synthesis, maintains a constant electrical potential in muscles and nerve tissue, and is involved in muscle contraction.
